First of all, congratulations to Matt Huynh for coming up best of night at the Cut and Paste competition on night, truly blew everyone else away and came out on top.
Second of all thanks to all the people who organized the night, it was bigger than I expected, much bigger! And the crowd were awesome, and really came out in big numbers. Let me put it this way, people were right up to the stage, standing room only to the back of the Metro in Sydney.
All the people competing on the night were amazing. We all met earlier, but only today have i really had a chance to go through all their work and I can see now why they were picked, I was just glad to meet them and be part of the whole evening let alone end up in the finals against Matt.
Wacom supplied some great gear for the night too, especially their new tablet, the new Cintiq 12WX, which I'm definitely keeping an eye on the release date for.
I was intrigued to know who would turn up to such an event, and not only did it seem incredibly popular, noted by the crowd that lined up around the three corners of the block (that's down past burger king for you Sydney-siders), but very raucous! It really did feel like a battle of sorts!
In the end I walked away with a Macbook and some other goodies, and given that I'm off overseas soon, it's going to get the Airport customs xray treatment asap! Yay!

On ya son for making the finals! It was definetely a close competition since there wasn't much between everyone and all have such a unique fingerprint of a style. I have a hard time believing you and the rest of the finalists made such great artwork in the space of 15 minutes. Getting a Macbook isn't a bad payday for an hour of drawing!
